By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On March 28, 2009 No Comments

body fat perecentage 23.2%Losing fat is definitely all about your diet and exercise plan, but what are the best fat loss foods to eat and what should you start drinking to eliminate that food in rapid time. Well here’s a list showing you just five items of  fat loss food and drink that you can easily add to your daily diet plan.

1) Green Tea

Research in japan has shown that by drinking fours cups of green tea each day for a period of ten weeks. Will increase your endurance and energy levels by up to 24% this means that you will be able to undertake more strenuous and fat burning workouts. Scientists in the UK  have also found that green tea helps in burning more fat. Studies have shown that the people who were taking green tea compared to the people taking placebo’s were able to burn over 16% more fat.

2) Peanut Butter

I know a lot of you are thinking now, now can we lose fat on that it’s laden in calories. It is but it’s full of protein and it’s high in zinc which helps in muscle recovery. The vitamin niacin which is contained in peanut butter also helps to release energy from the carbohydrates.

3) Raisins

Raisins are fantastic at giving you that much needed energy boost that you need to complete your strenuous fat burning workouts. They are high in fructose and glucose and contain lots of iron and fibre, vitamin B6 and protein.

4) Eggs

Everyone knows that to lose fat and build muscle we need to eat large amounts of quality protein. Well eggs are one of the best sources of protein in the world. They are high in choline, which is said to improve mental and physical performance. They also contain important amino acids such as citrulline which helps to reduce muscle fatigue during your workouts.

5) Red Cherries

Not only do red cherries taste absolutely delicious but they help your muscles to recover after a fat burning workout. Research has also shown that they can increase your strength in the gym which can lead to more calories being burnt which then leads to more fat loss. Red cherries are also very rich in anti-oxidants making them a fantastic healthy and tasty fat loss food.

The Saturday Night Takeaway

By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On March 28, 2009 No Comments

body fat perecentage 23.2%Traditionally if I was not going not or if I was not working on a Saturday night I would get myself a takeaway. Well it’s Saturday night and I’m home alone,  and I have nearly gave into my cravings and rang for my favorite Chinese takeaway. It’s hot and spicy soup for starters with a portion of prawn crackers. A portion of spare ribs in barbecue square and for my main meal I always order special hot and spicy with fried rice and chips.

That’s one big ass tasty meal, but its absolutely laden in calories, I’ve been extremely good so far today and I’ve been able to burn 1100 calories on my exercise bike which took me just over 1.5 hours to do. My usual Chinese takeaway is easily over 1100 calories you can probably double that and add some more on and you might be getting close. I said to myself why waste all that hard work for 20 minutes of pleasure eating a delicious Chinese takeaway.

So instead of the usual Saturday night takeaway I made myself a protein shake mixed with milk and a bowl of Heinz beef and tomato soup. I’m living on Heinz soup at the moment, I ‘m an engineer there and we get items at discounted prices. Another good thing about not giving into my craving tonight is I’ve saved myself a bit of money, money which I can take to Las Vegas with me in July. I’m putting around 50 quid a week away for that trip, I’m going need it because the price of the dollar against the pound is shockingly low.

For all you Americans out there who want to come to England, now’s the time to do it, you will get a lot of pounds back in return for your dollar. I wouldn’t recommend just at the moment though the weather were I’m from Liverpool is absolutely horrendous at the moment windy and raining. I’m home alone and there’s absolutely nothing on the TV to watch. I think it’s going to be an early night for me tonight I’m feeling a little bit tired tonight. I think it’s largely down to me stepping up my cardio from level 4 to level 5. The same thing happened a few weeks ago when I went from level 3 to level 4. My body needs a few more day to adjust to the increased resistance on the leg muscles. They are really burning up at the moment, it’s all going to be worth it in the end though.

Weight Loss Blog Why You Must Start One

By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On March 28, 2009 3 Comments

body fat perecentage 23.2%Starting this weight loss blog has been one of the biggest factors in me losing 35 pounds in under 3 months. Why you may be asking me now, well without it I wouldn’t of found the courage and determination I need to carry on with the 50,000 calories in 50 day challenge. Without this blog I would of said sod this, this is just too much hard work. Yes, it is hard work and sometimes I have found it to be extremely hard work. But without this challenge  and me burning all those excess calories I would not be seeing the results that I’m getting so far on my body fat loss journey.

A weight loss blog should be the place were you document your progress and the ups and downs you encounter on your way to losing weight. Me personally I feel the need to prove that this can be done and quite easily if you put your mind to it. Who wants to visit a popular weight loss blog that is let’s say 2 to 3 years old and see that they are no further on than they were when they started the blog all those years ago.

My ultimate aim for this weight loss blog is show people that you can lose weight, and when you do so you can keep it off. Losing weight as never been a problem for me, keeping it off has though. I always seem to reach my target weight and before you know it I’m back to being overweight again. This yo yo dieting as just got to stop it’s doing my health no good at all. The way I’m going to achieve this is my weighing myself every Friday morning on my body fat scales taking a picture of it and recording the data on my weekly weigh in page and my body fat chart page.

I’ve still got a very long way to go, I’m now at my target body weight and I’m working hard on reducing my body fat percentage to 10%. I’m currently at 23.2% so I’ve got a very long way to go to achieve my target. But by updating all the things that I do on this weight loss blog I should hopefully easily reach my target before the end of 2009. My regular readers will of probably noticed that I’ve added a countdown widget in the left hand footer. This is helpful not just for my readers to see how long I’ve got to go, but for me as well.

If you are a weight loss blogger and you have set yourself a goal to achieve my a set date you really do need to get yourself one its a fantastic addition to all weight loss blogs. This niche is so big and already I had some fantastic kind words of support giving me a pat on the back for how well that I’m doing. Thanks to all of you who have given me the support to make this fat loss journey a success so far.
