How To Stop Snacking Tips

By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On April 29, 2009 No Comments

body fat percentage 22.8%Since I started this weight loss blog a few months ago, I have been seeing fairy good results week after week. The main reason behind this was the lots and lots of exercise I was doing whilst on my first body fat reduction challenge. I have managed to lose nearly 40 pounds in body weight so far this year. But I know deep down in my heart that this could be much better. Snacking on my favorite junk food in between meals is setting me back, and must stop if I’m to reach my body fat percentage goal of 10%. With this in mind I have come up with a list of How To Stop Snacking Tips that will help me to achieve my fat loss goals.

How To Stop Snacking Tip One

Get rid of all the snacks that you can get your hands on within your house. If you are exercising hard you are going to begin, to feel a lot hungrier than you use to. These hunger pangs can force you to open up your kitchen doors and snack on the goodies that are contained within them. Today I have removed all the snack foods from my house, I didn’t throw away the food because that just wouldn’t be right. I gave it away to family and friends.

How To Stop Snacking Tip Two

Always prepare your food the night before, otherwise you are going to eat lots of junk during the next day. So far this week I haven’t prepared any food for work, and have been eating out at my works canteen. This is bad because I have been eating foods that are fatty and will do my body fat loss goals no good at all.

How To Stop Snacking Tip Three

Never do your weekly food shopping on an empty stomach. I have made this mistake on several occasions. What happens is you tend to fill up the shopping trolley with foods that look and taste delicious, but will do your weight loss no good at all. Also you are more likely to buy yourself snacks that you can eat in the car on your journey home from the supermarket.

In Need Of Binge Eating Help

By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On April 27, 2009 1 Comment

body fat percentage 22.8%I’m desperately in need of binge eating help, whilst I’m seeing fantastic results so far this year having lost almost 40 pounds, I still can’t resist tucking into my favorite takeaway food and chocolate. Seeing results when your eating junk does give you a false sense of security though. I’ve already tucked into several chocolate bars so far this week. Put a part of me says, so what, I can do it now because I’m training hard on a daily basis and I’m eating a healthy and balanced diet most of the time.

But this way of thinking is setting me back, I’m training hard but if only I could stick to my diet plan 100%. At the moment though I know what I need to do, but I keep binge eating. I train extremely hard and push every set to failure, but the only problem to this is it is making me extremely hungry. And when I say hungry I only need to open up my kitchen doors and I’m diving into the food. I’m eating every few hours which too be perfectly honest isn’t a bad thing because its keeping my metabolism running at an high rate, which is helping me to burn off more calories.

On Friday I weighed in at 196 pounds, so I’ve only got 6 pounds to go till I move on to phase 2 of my fat loss journey. But the problem is, it’s the muscle building phase, which means more food. I just need to make sure that when I increase my daily food intake that’s I fill it with foods that are rich in complex carbohydrates and lean protein. I need to eliminate every thing in the house that I can snack on it’s as simple as that.

My willpower is usually quite good, but not when I’m training the way I am, a large part of losing weight successfully is all in your mind. Figure it out in your mind and your on your way to long term weight loss success. I’ve lost nearly 40 pounds so far this year, so I should stop complaining but I’m complaining because I want to show you all that this can be done. And binge eating on chocolate and pizzas will definitely not let me reach my goals it’s as simple as that.

Summer Weight Loss

By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On April 25, 2009 No Comments

body fat percentage 22.8%I’m from the UK and the weather over the last week has been fantastic, I find losing weight seems to be a lot easier during the hot summer months. Having just returned from Spain were the weather was hot. I still managed to lose weight even when the odds were stacked against me (lots of beer and junk food). My aim at the moment isn’t really to lose weight it to reduce my body fat percentage and try to maintain as much body weight as I can.

Losing fat and gaining muscle isn’t easy. I’ve had a few weeks were I have been able to achieve it. But this was due to me eating lots of protein and doing lots of cardio and weight training sessions. Over the last couple of months I have been exercising like a mad man. My exercise has slowed down slightly, and I’m feeling a bit down because I know that if I reduce my exercise I will see a reduction in my progress. The bottom line is though I just couldn’t keep all that exercise up, there just wasn’t enough hours in the day.

Its all about me now finding a happy place, were I can eat delicious food and not spend to much time exercising. One hour per day exercising is the maximum I ever want to be doing, and doing diets that are like eating rabbit food is not for me. I pretty happy with my diet plan so far, I’ve been able to eat a lot of junk and still see weight loss results. I’ve lost 38 pounds so far this year. Could this of been better, your damn right it could be. If I was 100% strict with my diet plan this would be much much more. Which to be perfectly honest I so glad I didn’t do. My motivation would of been really low because I would of not been able to eat the food that I like to eat sometimes.

The summer is here so hopefully, the warm weather will keep me motivated to keep losing fat and moving forward with my body fat reduction journey. I keep seeing results though, so I should be a happy man. I know that I can do better and I will do better. In fact I know that I need to do better if I’m to reach my body fat percentage target of 10% at 200 pounds before the end of 2009.
