Weekly Weigh In May 22nd 2009
Before I stepped on to my body fat scales this morning I knew in my mind that I had shifted quite a bit of body weight this week. Diet wise I was bad at the weekend I had a large Chinese takeaway on Saturday and on Sunday I went to the chip shop for large chips, curry and a fish. Not good for a man who is trying to lower is body fat percentage.
I woke up Monday morning though, thinking this has just got to STOP. I must keep moving forward with my body fat loss and that was what I did from Monday to Thursday. I stuck to my diet plan and trained hard. So what results did this bring me for this weeks weekly weigh in. Well I’m pleased to tell you that I lost a massive 4.4 pounds in body weight bringing my current weight down to 197 pounds. I’ve only got 7 pounds to go till I reach 190 pounds then I can start packing on some muscle. Which is really my ultimate goal. By packing on muscle not only will my body fat percentage go lower but my resting metabolism will speed up. Which means I am more likely to keep the weight off my body for the coming years.

My aim now is to shift the seven pounds in the next two weeks by doing what I’ve been doing. 3.5 pounds each week is extremely easy for me when I put my mind to it. Ideally I would only like to lose 1 to 2 pounds each week, but with Vegas coming up in less than seven weeks I need to lose this weight fast and start building some serious muscle as soon as I can.
The only downside to my impressive weight loss this week is what my body fat percentage is reading on my body fat scales. I’ve gone up slightly from 22.1% to 22.4% I was hoping that I could finally get below 22% this week. Hopefully with another big weight loss this week. My body fat will re-adjust and I will get a massive body fat loss when I step onto the scales at next week’s weekly weigh in.
The Queen Visits Heinz Factory In Wigan
Yesterday the company were I work has a sub contractor was celebrating fifty years that it’s factory in Wigan had been open. The company I work at is the H.J. Heinz factory and is the biggest food factory in the whole of Europe. My job is to look after the new boilerhouse without this process the whole of the plant would shut down costly a large amount of money. So to keep the plant running to full efficiency can often be a very stressful but more often than not a very enjoyable experience.
I have never seen the queen in person so I was really looking forward to it, each section of the factory was allocated a designated viewing spot. How pleased was I to get the spot were she did the presentations and got in and out of her car. Which by the way was a beautiful and very expensive Bentley.
When the queen arrived with her entourage I was lucky enough to get within 10 feet of her and I had an excellent view. It was truly an excellent experience. After the queen had been and gone the canteen had a carvery on with turkey and beef on the menu. Because I’m on a diet I haven’t visited the canteen in a long time, but the food is excellent so I said why not.
I had roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, various vegetables and roast potatoes. It was ok but I’ve had a lot better. It was quite a big meal but I didn’t feel one bit guilty because I know I’ve been extremely good all week and know I’ve lost at least 2 to 3 pounds. One carvery isn’t going to do much to my weight loss is it. All in all yesterday was a great experience and one that went very smoothly without any hiccups.
I’m Sticking To My Diet
I’ve been able to stick to my diet plan 100% for a full three days now and I can already feel like I’ve shifted some fat. I’ve only got 2 days till my next weekly weigh in and I will be extremely pleased if I can lose 2 to 3 pounds and finally get below the 22% body fat mark. I’ve only got seven weeks to go till my trip to Las Vegas and I really need to shift as much body fat as I can. I want to be at 190 pounds in three weeks time then I can start my muscle building phase for the next four weeks. Which means I’m hoping to hit Vegas weighing around 195 to 200 pounds with a body fat percentage well below 20%.
Once I can get below 20% it will be a big step on my body fat loss journey. Then my next step will be to get to 15% then after that down to my target body fat of 10%. Overall I’m doing ok but I know in my heart that I could be doing much better. By sticking to my diet I know I will lose fat, the training part for me isn’t the problem. Because I can honestly say I haven’t missed a workout all year and this includes when my knee was injured about 5 weeks ago.
My diet plan is a little boring and I know that I can not stick to this type of diet for a long time. But its a diet plan that is going to allow me to lose fat. Once I get to my target body fat I will need to design a diet plan that tastes delicious and will allow me to maintain my target weight. In the past I’ve done it all wrong I quickly lose the weight and once I get down to my target I return back to my normal eating and I’m quickly back to square one.
This time is going to be different, for one I am now monitoring my fat loss progress on this weight loss blog. And already I feeling very guilty with myself that I haven’t been able to lower my body fat percentage at a much quicker rate than I have. Before I started this blog I was a big reader of lots of weight loss blogs. But what I noticed was hardly anyone was succeeding with their weight loss. Because I am not moving forward I’m feeling like a bit of a fraud myself. How can I write about weight loss if I am not doing it myself. Well I am now back fully motivated and YOU WILL see my body fat percentage going down week after week from now one.
