Weekly Weigh In July 31st 2009

body fat percentageAnother week which has gone so quick, another bad week for me diet wise and probably my worst week for exercise in a very long time. I started the week eating fairly healthy but my head has been in a totally different place this week and I was quickly back to eating junk which tastes delicious. A big part of me is craving this food because to be honest I’ve been feeling a little down since I returned from Vegas two weeks ago.

My regular readers will of noticed that I haven’t been posting much of late. This is due to me having a virus on my PC and this weight loss blog being hacked a few times. Which has severely dented my search engine rankings. Its the weekend so I plan on getting in a few workouts and I am also planning a night out drinking lots of booze and maybe getting a takeaway on the way home. I know that doing this will set me back, but I need one big last blowout before I set serious again.

OK having just stepped onto the body fat scales I’m weighing in at 204.4 pounds with a body fat percentage of 24.6%. This isn’t that bad considering the amount of nachos and chips I’ve ate over the last week. I know that the clocks ticking fast now and I’ve got just 5 months to reach my body fat percentage target of 10%. Can it be done, of course it can be done. But I have got to seriously change the way that I eat if I’m to get anywhere near this target.

Over the past week I’ve started playing a lot more golf, which is giving me a fantastic cardio workout. I’m in the middle of deciding which club I should join. Once I pick one I will be playing a lot more golf which will mean more walking which will help with my fat loss. I am going to start getting serious again on Monday hopefully my head will be in a different place then, because at the moment it’s in a place that’s not good. My mind is telling me to eat food such as pizzas and burgers which taste delicious and make me feel happier for a few minutes whilst I’m eating them.


Weekly Weigh In July 24th 2009

This is my first weekly weight in for over 3 weeks, because of my trip to Las Vegas. Before I went to vegas I completed the 3 day tuna and water diet and seen fantastic results on the scales. At my last weigh in I was down to 198.2 pounds with a body fat percentage of 21.8%. Having just stepped onto my body fat scales I am now weighing in at 203.6 pounds with a body fat percentage of 25.4%. This means in the space of three weeks I have gained nearly 6 pounds in body weight and had a 3.6% rise in my body fat composition.

I knew that I had put on some weight, put the rapid rise in body fat has really got me down. This means all the weight I have regained is all fat and it also means that I have allowed my lean muscle mass to drop as well. This is terrible news and I’m feeling awful at the moment. If it was just the body weight increase I wouldn’t feel so bad. But a 3.6% rise in body fat is shocking. I know the reasons behind this, its not the lack of exercise. It’s what I’ve been shoving into my mouth, foods such as ice cream, chips, burgers, curries, fried food and other delicious tasting junk.

I need to quickly get back to healthy eating otherwise I will quickly be back to were I started at the beginning of 2009. The months are flying by and I need to get serious otherwise I am going to make myself look like a fool to the people who read this weight loss blog and to my family and friends who know about me starting this blog and documenting my fat loss here for the whole world to see. Over the weekend I’m going to sit myself down and come up with a 3 month plan. Why 3 months well I’m going to florida in 3 months so I’m going to use this as a motivation to lose as much body fat from my body as I can.

At this stage on my body fat loss journey I should now be at around 18% body fat, but I’m nowhere near that. I started off this journey losing lots of weight fast and seeing good body fat percentage drops week after week. I need to get back to those results because it made me think that my efforts were all worth it. At the moment I feel like jacking it all in and start eating what I like again. But I know if I do this I will quickly be back to weighing 230+ pounds in just a matter of weeks. When I think of how I felt back then, its gives me the motivation and determination to keep going on my body fat loss journey.


My Social Life Is Slowing Down My Fat Loss

body fat percentageI have not stepped onto my body fat scales for over two weeks now, the main reason is because I’m scared at what I will see staring back at me. Over the past two weeks I have really had a blowout on food and booze. I was in Vegas for one week and almost every meal was an eat as much as you like buffet. I definately got my moneys worth from each buffet. Eating lots of foods and cakes at each sitting. Whilst in Vegas though I did manage to get in 3 one hour gym sessions at the hotels gym. Which I’m glad I did otherwise my weight gain would be even more.

Over the weekend one of my friends was getting married, so we went out on Friday night to celebrate is last night of freedom. Again I drank lots of calorie laden booze and finished the night off with even more calories by going for an Indian meal. On the night of the wedding I again drank loads of booze and ate way more food than I should of done at the buffet. It didn’t end there on Sunday I went out for a chinese and went for a macdonalds. All in all my social life is definately getting in the way of me reaching my goal of 10% body fat before the end of 2009.

I must learn how to still have a good social life and still move forward with my fat loss. It’s only a few days away from my next weekly weigh in and I will be very surprised if I’m weighing under 205 pounds. I must of put on at least 7 pounds over the last two weeks. Apart of me is saying why not do the 3 day tuna and water diet to quickly lose those excess pounds. But it’s just too soon since I did the last one. That diet plan is only going to be used in extreme circumstances. I’m proud of myself exercise wise because I haven’t missed a workout yet. It just the eating side of things which is slowing my progress down.

Before I went to Vegas I had a massive body fat percentage drop, probably my biggest of 2009. But the bright lights of vegas and all that delicious food and booze was just too hard to SAY NO to. Another reason why I’ve also been bad is me being lazy again, I should of gone to the supermarket for foods that are in my diet plan. But no I’ve got no food in the house so guess what I been eating out at the works canteen and living on takeaway food for the past week. How stupid am I, I know what I need to do I just need to implement what I know into place. I’m going to florida in 15 weeks, so I’m going to use that trip as motivation to lose fat and get into the best shape that I can before I go.
