My Top Tip For Losing Fat

bodyfat percentage 22.8%Over the last few weeks I’ve been so motivated and focused to achieving the thing that I started this weight loss blog for and that is to lose fat and lower my body fat percentage. My results at my last few weekly weigh In’s have been fantastic. But yesterday I had a really bad day diet wise, I went out for a three course meal which was washed down with lots of high calorie booze. The night didn’t end there, after even more booze I finished the night off by eating a full 12 inch big meaty pizza all by myself.

Is this bad news, no not really because I had a fantastic night and really enjoyed myself. It was something that I needed to do, because to be honest with you I was feeling a little run down. One day will not set me back, but here’s my top tip. It doesn’t matter how good your will power and mindset is we will all have off days and stray from our diet plans. The winners are the people who knuckle down again and get straight back at it. Meaning restart your diet the very next day and maybe do an extra workout in the gym to burn off even more calories. Not wise though if you have got an hangover like I’ve got today.

I’ve spent most of today recovering in bed, its 4 pm and my head is still banging. I was suppose to be doing a bit of gardening today. But it’s been one of those lazy days for me, its Sunday so traditionally it is the day of rest. Talking about gardening just got a fantastic 6ft Japanese Umbrella tree off eBay for just 20 quid. A 1 foot tree from my local garden centre is 30 quid. So my 6ft tree is an absolute bargain.

Tomorrows Monday so I will be back in the gym tomorrow. Like I mentioned in an earlier post I’ve changed my workout program slightly, but the changes I have made are something that are making my workouts more fun and when your workouts are fun you stick at it. I love training in the gym always have and always will. I look at it as a job, you must go to your job each day to pay the bills, so you must go into the gym to keep your body fit and healthy. Which is very important don’t you think. Anyway my top tip for you is when you have an off day, don’t let it continue into 2 days, then 3 days otherwise all your hard work will have been for nothing then your back to square one.


Weekly Weigh In September 4th 2009

body fat percentage 22.8%I feel like I’ve had another fantastic week and I just know that I’ve lost lots of weight and lowered my body fat percentage in the process. Why am I so confident, well exercise and diet wise I have been brilliant. I feel now that fat loss success is guaranteed if I just stick to what I’ve been doing over the last three week. I’m so focused and motivated and I just wish I had this same drive at the beginning of 2009. If I did I would be almost certain that I would be at my target body fat percentage of 10% by now.

Okay its time to step onto the body fat scales to see what my weight and body fat percentage is, at this week’s weekly weigh in. Oh my god I have lost a whopping 4.4 pounds and dropped by body fat levels by an impressive 0.7%. This is hard to believe because I’ve  been eating lots and lots of calories, I think it must be down to me eating the right things at every meal. I’m eating around 5 to 6 meals a day as well, which is helping me to keep my metabolism running at an high rate. I’m also training a lot smarter than I use to. Earlier in the year I was spending hours and hours doing slow and long cardio workouts. I’ve changed this to short 20 minutes session going flat out, not only am I burning off loads of calories but this is helping my metabolism get into overdrive.

My workout and diet plan has slightly changed and these changes so far are giving me fantastic results at the weekly weigh in’s. I’m so happy that I’m back on track again. I didn’t like it when I was gaining weight and moaning about it each day on this weight loss blog. Even my family and friends who read the blog said, Keith all you do on your blog is moan about gaining weight. But gaining weight does makes you unhappy and at the time I felt like a moan.

Hopefully from now on I will not moan anymore and keep giving you positive blog posts about my fat loss success. Losing weight is easy if you do the right things you just need to get your mindset right and your half way there. It’s about making sacrifices, but don’t go overboard otherwise you will quickly get bored and go back to eating lots and lots of delicious tasting junk food again.

Back In The Fat Loss Zone

weight loss blogDuring the last few weeks I’m feeling so focused and motivated to losing fat again. I’m definitely in the fat zone again. I’m becoming obsessed with shifting this body fat and keeping it off. My body fat percentage is dropping fast again I can feel it. I can easily fit into my jeans again, which just a few short weeks ago I couldn’t get into.

At last weeks weekly weigh I only lost 0.4 pounds but my body fat percentage dropped by over one percent. If I can lose 1% of body fat every week I willbe a very happy man. I reckon I’m on target this week to losing around 2 to 3 pounds in bodyweight. Hopefully all the weight I lose will be fat. I do not want to be losing lean muscle mass at this late stage of my body fat loss journey.

My biggest motivation at the moment is what being lean and healthy will mean to me. I’m not getting any younger I’m 35 years of age now. But why should I let middle age spread begin to set in. I look at some of my friends and they have really let themselves go and put on lots of weight. I do not want to be that type of person. I want to stay fit lean and healthy for as long as I can.

I have never been so focused I am determined to lower my body fat percentage and prove to all my readers, family and friends that I am a weight loss blogger that is true to his word and shows everyone that you can lose fat if you put in the hard work to achieve it. It’s so easy for me to start eating the junk food again and start slacking off in the gym. But I know if I do this I will quickly return to being 30% + body fat before I know it.

I absolutely love my food, but I know that once I achieve what I want to achieve on my fat loss journey I will be a much happier man than I am now. Sure junk food tastes good, but how long does this pleasure last. Its minutes, but looking the way you want to look will give you a lifetime of pleasure and satisfaction. It’s just two days away from my next weigh in and I will guarantee you now last I’ve lost weight, that’s how confident I am now at seeing good weight loss results week after week from now on.
