Weekly Weigh In October 30th 2009
It’s 5am in the morning and I’m off to Orlando today, can’t wait. This week as been another really good week diet and exercise wise and I’m finding as my body fat percentage keeps dropping my appetite isn’t as bad as it use to be. Not so long ago I was forever craving food, but over the last few months my cravings have almost vanished. I think the excitement of seeing good fat loss results on the scales each week is really keeping me motivated.
OK its about time I stepped onto the body fat scales, I’ve got a plane to catch in a few hours. I’m a very happy man I’ve hit the target I set for myself last week. I’m now below the 20% body fat mark, for the first time this year. My body weight is also at its lowest level at 191.8 pounds, that’s a total of 42 pounds that I’ve lost in 2009. I’m absolutely over the moon with the results this week, I’ve managed to lose a whopping 1.3% body fat. Having just done some quick calculations out of the 42 pounds that I’ve lost this year around 39 pounds of it is pure fat. That is amazing and it gives me even more of reason to keeping moving forward on my body fat loss journey.

Hearing fantastic news like this is hopefully going to keep me motivated now to not eat as much junk food in Florida as I did when I went to Las Vegas in July. Hopefully I will return from Florida in 2 weeks time, weighing around the same weight with the same body fat percentage. I know for sure that I’m not going to lose any more fat whilst on holiday. But I will be happy if I can stay the same.
When I return from holiday I am really going to knuckle down and give this fat loss journey one big final push before the end of 2009. With the results I’m seeing at the moment I should be very near to reaching my fat loss goals. After months of trial and error I’ve think I found the perfect plan to lose fat week after week. Once I reach my goals I am going to release a free ebook detailing everything I do to lose fat. Its so easy when you are doing the right things and I think I have come up with the perfect diet and exercise plan. If it works for me it will work for anyone.
My Fat Loss Progress So Far
I started my fat loss journey at the beginning of 2009, tipping the scales at 234 pounds with a body fat percentage of around 30%. But I didn’t start recording my body fat till January 30th, when I had quickly managed to lose around 20 pounds. So lets look into these numbers a little bit closer to see exactly what type of weight I have lost so far this year.
.
January 30th weekly weigh in
215 pounds at 26.5% body fat, this means I was carrying 59.9 pounds of fat
194 pounds at 20.3% body fat, this means at last weeks weigh in I’m now carrying 39.3 pounds of fat.
So this means that out of the 21 pounds that I’ve lost since I started recording my results on the blog, I’ve lost 20.6 pounds of fat. This is fantastic news because, losing weight is the easy part its holding on to lean muscle mass that’s the hard part. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I’m now at the point were I’m seeing fantastic results week after week. Which is spurring me on to keep at it. I go on holiday to Orlando Florida on Friday, so that is going to really test my willpower to say no to all those delicious tasting buffets.
I live in the UK, and having traveled to the US on several occasion’s, I find that the food size portions are a lot bigger and I find it much easier to put on weight. If I can survive Florida without much of a weight gain I will be a very happy man. My plan at the moment is to keep cutting weight till my body fat percentage is at around 15%. Then I’m going to start eating a bit more food and start building lean muscle mass. In my twenties I was always a very lean 200 pounds, but it makes you realise just how much lean muscle mass you lose if you don’t do anything about it.
I’m at 194 pounds at the moment, which for a 6 foot 2 inch male is probably a little too low. But if I’m to see a drop in body fat I must keeping cutting weight. I’m so determined to reach my target of 10% body fat, and each day I’m looking at my countdown timer at the bottom of the blog, thinking its getting closer and closer each day. I hate failing and if I’m not near the 10% mark come the end of 2009 I will see my body fat loss journey as a failure and that is something I just don’t want to do. I’ve put too much effort into losing this fat and keeping it off, to fail at the last hurdle.
Weekly Weigh In October 23rd 2009
Just 7 days to go now till I go to Orlando for my hols, I am really looking forward to it now. Over the last week I have been really good diet and exercise wise and feel like I am going to see good results again at this weeks weekly weigh in. I lost over 4 pounds in body weight last week, which I was very pleased about. But losing weight isn’t really my aim at this stage on my fat loss journey. It losing fat and lowering my body fat percentage which is my ultimate aim at the moment.
My goal is to be at 10% body fat weighing 200 pounds. I’m already well below my body weight goal, but my body fat percentage is still fairly high. I’m confident I’ve lowered by BF percentage yet again this week, hopefully my body weight won’t of gone down too much though. OK having just weighed in I’m very pleased to tell you that I’ve dropped by body fat percentage from 21.3% to 20.3% and my body weight has gone up slightly to 194 pounds. This is fantastic news because it means I’ve lost 1% body fat in a week with a slight weigh gain.

Hopefully I will be below 20% for the very first time this year at next weeks weigh in. Then I’ve got the task from going down from 20% to 10% body fat. Going down from 20% to 10% is going to be a lot quicker and easier than going down from 30% to 20% because its means I’ve got a lot less fat to lose to achieve it.
Over the last couple of weeks I am definitely back in the zone, and overall I am pleased with my fat loss results so far this year. I know that I’ve made a few mistakes this year, but this weight loss blog has really kept me focused and motivated to keep moving forward. I’ve lost 40 pounds in weight and dropped my body fat by 10% in my eyes that is good news, its not fantastic news because I know that it could of been a lot better. But this year has been a learning curve and I am now better equipped to getting to my goals and staying there till I’m a very old man. I’m 35 yrs old now, so for a lot of you I may be considered an old man, but I don’t feel it at the moment. I’ve ever felt better and I’m going to Florida feeling and looking the best I have done all year and it all down to starting and recording my progress on MyBodyFat.co.uk
