Always Prepare Your Food The Night Before
I learned a serious lesson today, yesterday I was working late and I usually always prepare my food the night before. Well last night I was feeling very tired and I didn’t do it. So I went to work without my usual days food all prepared. You can all guess what happened today. I went to the canteen and had a fantastic but very fattening lunch. I had a large portion of chicken curry with rice and a large portion of chips.
If I would of prepared my food the night before this would not of happened. So another serious lesson learnt today. One big meal like this shouldn’t really hinder my progress, but once you start getting a taste for delicious food again it’s hard to stop the cravings for more.
The way I look at it, it usually takes me well under ten minutes to prepare my protein shakes and meals for the next day. But how many minutes would it take on the exercise bike burning off the excess calories I consumed at lunch today. A damn sight longer than ten minutes let me tell you. I’m only human though and I make mistakes but by documenting and telling the readers I feel guilty, I am less likely to do it again for a very long time.
I’ve got my weekly weigh in, in the morning so a part of me is dreading it slightly. Because to be honest this hasn’t been the best of weeks. And I’m expecting my first week were I actually put weight on. This hasn’t happened so far in 2009 so it will be good to see how I react to it. I’m expecting it, so in my mind I’m all set for an hard next week to quickly get me back on track. If I make a loss I will be over the moon. It’s all about moving forward each week and remembering that it isn’t a sprint it’s a marathon and it is going to take me much longer to achieve my goal.
