Best Whey Protein Powder

my body fatWhen you are trying to lose fat and lower your body fat percentage. You need to hold on to as much muscle as you can, if you have got good genetics some say it is even possible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. So to at least maintain the muscle I’ve got whilst I’m on my fat loss phase I’m need to eat a lot of good quality protein. Like fish, meat and diary products, but the biggest downside to eating lots of protein is the amount it costs you to do so. Chicken is a fantastic source of protein but here in the UK it isn’t cheap. I have been taking the cheaper option and getting a lot of my protein from cheaper sources such as tuna. I know I shouldn’t eat a lot of tuna because we have all heard about it’s mercury content and how dangerous it can be if you eat a lot of it. Not sure whether this has ever been proven though. But in the current economical world I really do need to save my pennies.

Another downside to eating these protein sources is the preparation and time to consume them. This is why I now make myself whey protein shakes. They are not only cheap to buy, but they are quick and easy to make and consume. And for someone like me who leads an hectic lifestyle they are a perfect source of protein for me.

There are so many different protein powders to choose from, so were do you start. Well I bet most of you are like me the price is going to be your first starting point. If you shop around the Internet you can pay quite a lot even just for one kilo of whey protein. But I never buy my protein in one kilo. I buy it in 5 kilo buckets because it lasts much longer and is usually a lot cheaper.

best-whey-protein-powderThe best whey protein powder that I have found for the price and tastes absolutely delicious is Nutrisport’s 90+ Protein. You can get it in a variety of different flavours, but the one that I’m liking the most at the moment is the Raspberry flavour. It’s tastes a little on the sweet side and when you make it with milk and a banana blended in it makes the perfect pre and post workout meal. It contains a whopping 86 grams of protein for every 100 grams and also contain all the amino acids that you need to build and maintain lean body mass.

I purchase mine from a company here in the UK called Discount Supplements. They offer free delivery on all UK orders and priced at £44.99 for 5 kg it has got to be the best whey protein powder around for the price and taste.
