My Dress Sense Is Changing
Spring is virtually here now and today even in the usually glum and rainy United Kingdom the sun is shining. Doesn’t the sunshine instantly make you feel better and raises your spirits. I’ve just had a bit of a spring clean in my wardrobe. What a mess it was, my wardrobe was filled with clothes that are just not fashionable. I got brutal and simply asked myself the question it’s got to go, it’s hard getting rid of clothes which cost you a lot of your hard earned cash, but they simply had to go.
I didn’t throw them away though, I’m going to give them to my dad to run through and see which items he wants. The clothes he doesn’t want will be going to the local charity shop. I have in the past tried to sell clothes on eBay but it’s not usually worth the hassle once you pay eBay the listing and seller fees.
Now that I’ve shifted 30 lbs in body weight I’m feeling much better within myself, and my dress sense is changing. Instead of looking at clothes which were baggy and would hide my beer belly. I’m now going for the trendy fitted clothing which shows off my smaller waist and more toned up arms. I’ve still got a long way to go, but lots of you will probably relate to me on this one. Once you start to lose weight you see yourself in a totally different light. And the way you dress totally changes as well.
You want to see some of the shirts I have just got rid of, not only are they old fashioned but they cried out to you OUT OF FASHION. There is a fantastic men’s clothing store in my local town, that sells clothing which is only really designed for men who are slim and in shape. I went in there today and purchased my first shirt of many. Whilst it was a little tight here and there, I know in just a matter of weeks. It will fit me just right and will make me feel good wearing it.
When you are fatter, all you think about when your getting dressed up ready to go out. Is do these clothes make me look fat. Yeah they do make me look fat, because I am fat. If you’re fat you can hide it slightly by wearing darker colors and baggier clothing. But to truly start looking your best in clothes you need to start losing weight.
Picking clothes is getting much easier now and will only get better for me. All because I’m getting off my arse and doing something about it. It’s not easy, don’t believe the hype that it’s easy. You need to work at it, but the rewards you get by losing weight are truly life changing. I wish you all the best of luck in your weight loss and fat loss journeys.
