Why Exercising On a Sunday Is Important
For a lot of people traditionally Sunday is a day of rest. Well for people who are trying to reduce there body fat percentage it isn’t. Think about it for a minute, for most of us even us hardened fat burners we will be a little naughty and maybe treat ourselves to our favorite takeaway or meal out. This is probably going to be a day were a lot of calories are going to be consumed.
Lets say you eat 1000 calories more than you would normally do, add into the equation that you will not be getting the added benefits of exercise. Not just through the calories you would burn during your workout. But the many mores calories that would be burnt hours after you have finished your workout, due to your metabolism speeding up. Even if you only did 30 minutes on the exercise bike every Sunday you would definitely start seeing results just from this short workout.
Losing weight and lowering your body fat percentage is all about making life changes. If you want to stay fat free, you can’t just workout then once you get there go back to your old ways. Make exercising a part of your life. Something that must be done, think of it as a JOB. You have to go to work to pay the bills, so you have to exercise to stay fit and healthy.
Lots of my friends are overweight and if you ask them the reason why. They simply say that they lead busy lifes and just haven’t got the time to go to the gym. That’s BULL make time, even if its only 30 minutes three times per week. This also gets up my back when I speak to people who are very skinny, I’ve got one friend who swears he can’t put weight on and says he’s constantly eating all the time. But whenever I go out for meals with him he leaves half of his starter his main meal and desert. Doe’s that sound like a man who is trying to put weight on to you.
If you have been following me on my fat loss journey, you will notice that I’m working hard. Don’t believe the hype that you don’t need to work at it to lose fat. You do, for anything in life to be a success you need to put the work in to it to see the results that you are looking for.
Calorie Burning At The Weekend
You have been extremely good all week and followed your exercise and diet program religiously. But the weekend has arrived so you feel like its now time to let your hair down and party a little. It is, but by doing so you can totally destroy all the hard work that you have put in all week. Saturday and Sunday are the days when you can really be bad, I should know about it I’ve been there and done it. Been good all week and totally had a blow out all weekend on booze, pizzas and burgers.
The best way to do it is to allow yourself each weekend one treat be it your favorite takeaway meal or a few more beers than you would drink during the week. Then get yourself back on track as soon as you can. My fat burning program doesn’t contain any weight training sessions at the weekend so this is 600 calories each day that I am not burning through exercise. I have just completed an other one hour session on my exercise bike which has burned another 675 calories which is good.

I will be posting images like this every day from now on, so I’m going to set up a page showing the calories I burn through cardio workouts. I will also probably set up a page showing images of my body fat scales which I will step onto every Friday morning showing you my weight in pounds, body fat percentage, visceral fat, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism and BMI.
I have mentioned this several times now but this blog is going to outline everything I do on my way to becoming fat free. I am laying everything on the line by starting this blog. All my friends and family know about it, so if I fail I’m going to look a bit of prat. But I won’t fail, I’m going to achieve my goal. I’m not going to say when, but I’m almost certain I will do it by the end of 2009 that’s for sure.
I’ve just got back from the pictures had to sit through a click flick with the better half. Confessions of a shopaholic. It was much better than I expected though. I was going to do another cardio session and try to burn the other 325 calories I need to reach today’s target on the 50,000 calorie challenge. But I’m feeling hungry, so I’m going to make up the lost calories during the week and get a bite to eat. I have just made myself a delicious 12 inch baguette with chicken and stuffing. It’s around 700 calories but my body really needs it at the moment. All this exercise is making me hungry.
