If you are trying to lose weight most of you will probably be counting calories to lose weight. I do and due to this fact it has allowed me to lose over 30 pounds in under 3 months so far this year. The only downside to my weight loss is it takes me three times as long now to do my weekly shopping. I’m counting the calories on everything and reading the nutritional information on almost everything I buy. One thing I have noticed though when I’m shopping is if you read the nutritional information on weight watchers food and it higher calorie count counterpart there isn’t really much different, except the price.
Counting calories to lose weight is brilliant because if you know that you need to eat 2500 calories to maintain your weight. By counting the calories you can reduce your calorie intake slightly which almost guarantees you that you will lose weight. I like my food so never since I started dieting I’ve been on an high calorie diet. I reduce my calories by burning them off through exercise, I know that this isn’t for everyone but my results so far this year have been mainly down to one reason and one reason only my intense workouts. My diet plan has also helped me, but without my cardio calorie burning sessions I would of lost nowhere near the amount of weight that I have lost so far this year.
Counting calories though can be a little time consuming and to be honest very boring. But it’s something that must be done. Once you get to know what the calories are in each meal, you don’t reallly need to keep counting them. When I started my fat loss journey at the beginning of the year. I worked out the amount of calories I would need to lose weight. So if I eat this food each day counting calories to lose weight is done all I need to do to succeed is eat the food in my plan and stick to it. Complete my cardio and weight training sessions and I am guaranteed to lose weight and fat.
My top tips for people trying to lose weight is swap your three big meals a day for 5 to 6 smaller ones. If you are on a 2000 calories a day diet plan, this is five 400 calorie meals. I know a 400 calories meal can be a little small but if you fill up your plate with fresh vegetables you will be surprised at the amount of food that you can get on your plate.
