Lots of people think you have to starve yourself to stand any chance of losing weight. But that’s a myth and is so far away from the truth. Eat and lose weight is my motto, the more you eat the more you will lose over the long run. When I say this though I don’t mean you can stuff your face with cadbury easter eggs or your favorite takeaway meal. It’s easter today and I’m proud to say so far today I haven’t ate one piece of chocolate and I’m even prouder to say that I’ve done over one and half hours of cardio exercise so far today.
I’m going out today though, I’m off watching fast and furious at lunchtime then I’m off to my favorite restaurant for one of my all time favorite meals it’s called the big mans mixed grill. It’s delicious but it’s absolutely laden in calories, hopefully my cardio sessions will elevate my metabolism enough to nuke the excess calories. I’m also out drinking with friends I use to drinks pints of strong lager, but over the past few months I have swapped the pints for a lower calorie option of vodka & diet coke and low calorie beer. To be perfectly honest it doesn’t taste as good but you must make sacrifices if you are going to lose weight and lower your body fat percentage.
It’s all about turning your body into a fat burning furnace, eat and lose weight works because you are speeding up your metabolism and stopping your body going into survival mode. If you make sure you eat a healthy meal, rich in protein and complex carbohydrates every two to three hours. You will make sure that your metabolism is running at it’s optimum speed. Since I’ve started eating smaller meals spaced out every 3 hours I feel that it as really helped my metabolism to speed up and burn more calories.
Exercising also helps to speed it up as well, especially intense training workouts such as high intensity interval training and weight training with high weight and low reps. Be careful through intense workouts can make you extremely hungry and sometimes I am finding it very difficult not to give into my cravings of chocolate and my favorite takeaways. Eat and lose weight is a phrase that many people just don’t believe is truth. It is if you eat lots of food that contains the right nutrients that your body needs and you don’t overeat.
