You are probably reading this blog post because you want to know the answer to how to lose body fat fast. Well there are lots of right and wrong ways to go about it. Lots of people think that to lose fat as quick as possible you have to dramatically reduce your diet. Whilst this can allow you to shift a lot of weight. Most of the weight lost will be lean muscle mass and that is one thing you do not want to lose.
By crash dieting you are also reducing your metabolism, so once you start eating normally again you will put all the weight you lost back on and more. But the worst part of it is, your body is carrying a lot more body fat than when you first started. The smart way to lose it is, around 2 pounds per week or around 1% of your body-weight. So if you weigh 300 lbs 3 pounds per week would be a good weight for you to lose each week.
How do you make sure though that the weigh you lose each week is fat. Well the first thing you need to invest in is a set of body fat scales. By weighing yourself at the same time each week and recording you body fat percentage. You will be able to find out what type of weight you are losing each week from your body. Lets say for instance you lose 4 pounds one week but only 2 pounds is fat. This means you might need to up your calorie intake slightly probably with protein which will help you to hold on to your lean body mass whilst your dieting.
