Before I started my body fat reduction journey I was overweight but I didn’t look that bad in clothes due to my height I’m 6ft 2 inches tall. So 234 pounds or 16 st 10 lbs doesn’t look that bad when you’re fully dressed. But my body fat percentage at over 30% was not only unattractive, but it was posing a serious risk to my health. Research into body fat composition states that anything over 25% for a male is considered to be obese and you are at an higher risk of serious illnesses. Knowing this information was enough to give myself a kick up the backside and start lowering my body fat percentage once and for all.
I weighed in on Friday at 199.2 pounds or 14 st 3.2 pounds which is just slightly below my target body weight of 200 pounds. But over the last three weeks I have been able to maintain my body weight and still lower my body fat percentage which I am extremely pleased about. But at 22.1% BF I’ve got that skinny fat guy look which looks brilliantly in clothing, but with clothing removed doesn’t look so good. My plan is to lose this look and if I can get to around 16% body fat at 200 pounds within the next few months it will be gone. Then I can start working even harder and drop it to below 10% before the summers out. At the moment my body fat percentage is dropping at a rate of 0.5% each week which is fantastic. If I can keep this up or even improve on it I will reach my goal in under 24 weeks from today.
I 100% guarantee you that I will reach this goal, even to the extent I would put my life on it. Once I reach my goal I will do everything in power never to return to being a skinny fat guy or a guy who is considered by the experts to be obese and extremely overweight. Losing weight is the easy part, losing fat is slightly harder. But keeping the fat off is what separates the winners from the losers.
At the moment I’m loving updating my blog, and I spent quite a bit of time surfing the web reading lots of weight loss blogs for inspiration and motivation that will keep me moving forward with my goals. But the truth behind it is, only an handful of weight loss bloggers are achieving weight loss and fat loss success. We all know what we need to do to lose weight, we just need the courage and determination to just do it. We are what we eat, if you eat junk make sure you burn off the excess calories with exercise. I like my food and I am not always 100% clean with my diet plan but I always make sure that I burn off those excess calories with an high intensity interval training workout. I also make sure that I eat foods that increase metabolism and drink plenty of green tea.
Good Luck with your diets everyone!
