Spanx’s last blog post..Lose Belly Fat!
Since I started this weight loss blog just a few short months ago , I have found it to be a great motivation for me to keep moving forward on my body fat loss journey. But over the past few weeks I have been letting myself and my readers down by not performing to the best of my abilities. I’m the type of person who always need motivation to lose weight, because I find it so easy to stray from my diet plan and eat foods that make me fat. The problem is I absolutely love my food. Exercise wise isn’t a problem for me because I love doing it, cardio exercise bores me. But lifting weights I really enjoy and get such a buzz feeling my muscles ache after every hard set that I complete.
But eating crap is setting me back, but I know that I need to move forward again and quickly. A big motivation to lose weight at the moment is my trip to Las Vegas to watch UFC 100. It’s only three weeks away and I am nowhere near the shape that I hoped to be in for this vacation. But my mindset is now telling me that I can not go to Vegas looking like this. I’m looking to lose around 2 pounds of fat every week for the next 3 weeks.
I know that this doesn’t sound like a lot, but6 pounds of fat will make a huge difference to my appearance and should help the results on my body fat chart to finally get better. Which if you look at them for the past several weeks is pathetic. This weight loss blogger is under-performing, and for me that just isn’t good enough. I’m using this trip to Vegas as my motivation to lose weight again.
Also if I start eating healthy again for the next 3 weeks, I’m more likely to not over eat once I get to Vegas. It’s going to be very hot, so I’m hoping that the heat will help in speeding up my metabolism which will stop me gaining weight. You never know I might actually come back from Vegas losing weight. I did in Spain, so why not in Vegas. Having something that motivates you to lose weight, is one of the biggest reasons that I have been able to lose over 30 pounds so far this year.

Thanks Spanx setting goals is the only way I can keep motivated at the moment. I need to build up my willpower to finally say no to foods that are laden in calories.

The way I try and say no to fatty/high calorie foods is to stick a photo of myself from my fat days on the fridge as a reminder of what I was, and how I got there. It doesn’t scare me off foods because binging isn’t a bad thing.
It’s just that when I want motivation, I look at those photos and then pull out a healthy alternative. Sometimes I want something salty, I make some soup. Want something sweet? I grab some yoghurt and throw in some chopped fruit.
I still have the odd day when I crave something naughty, but it passes pretty quickly
