My Body Fat Calculation Scales
There are many different ways you can measure your body fat. But if you are looking for a method which is quick and easy to do invest in a set of body fat scales. This is the way my body fat calculation is done. I do own a pair of body fat calipers but its just to fiddly for me and each time I take a measurement with them I always seem to get a different reading. You are told to take three reading on the same area then average out the measurements that you have taken, but with all the cardio I’m doing at the moment I just haven’t got the time to do it this way.
My body fat calculation is done on a set of Omron Body Fat Analyzer Scales (model number BF500). They are fantastic you just step onto them hold out the grip electrodes with your arms straight and at 90 degree angle to your body, and your body fat percentage is measured in a matter of seconds. It states in the technical data that the scales are accurate to 3.5% which is good enough for me. The scales do so much more than just take your weight and body-fat percentage.

They also take your visceral fat, this type of fat can be dangerous if you have large amounts of it. And is related to diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. So knowing your visceral fat level is very important.
They also take your BMI and resting metabolism. Knowing this is also very important because you can judge your daily calorie intake off how many calories your body is burning each day at rest. It gets better there’s a memory function which will store up to 4 users data which makes them perfect for you and your family.
When I first spotted these scales in my local retailer I knew I had to have a set. But the price was a bit expensive for my liking they wanted 100 pounds for them. So I left them were they were returned home and checked out eBay to see if I could get a set any cheaper. I managed to find a seller selling them for 75 pounds. That’s better I thought, so I dug a little deeper with google and found a UK retailer selling them for 69.95 with free delivery. Bargain so I instantly bought myself a set and when they arrived that was when I began my body fat reduction journey.
I purchased my body fat calculation scales through ChemistDirect.com just type body fat scales into the search bar and look for the Omron BF500 model.
