When it comes to rapid weight loss diets there are so many different ones to choose from but are they safe. Well too be perfectly honest with you I would stay well clear from them. Anything that promotes rapid weight loss isn’t good in my opinion. Why you may be asking, well rapid weight loss is not good for many reasons. The main reasons being one its slows down your metabolism, two your general health and well being will suffer as a result, three you will have less energy and it will show in your skin and hair. And last but not least rapid weight loss 9 times out of 10 is only temporary. Because once you return to your normal eating again the weight will return almost overnight.
Rapid weight loss diets are all the range at the moment, with lots and lots of big celebrities endorsing them. But do you really think that these celebs are on these fad diet plans or is it because they are getting paid big bucks to promote them. I personally think it’s the latter. Millions of people all over the world are trying to lose weight and they want to lose it fast. So its very big business. But rapid weight loss is not the answer to your questions IS IT.
Most of you know what we need to do to lose weight, but we are too lazy to get off our arses and start doing it. Me being one of them, I’ve got the knowledge but I just don’t put this knowledge to its best use. One thing that’s for sure though, is I would never start a rapid weight loss diet. I value my health and fast metabolism too much. Its took me months and months to rebuild my metabolism. And I will not let it suffer by going on these what should be called crash diet plans.
The best weight loss diet is one which is calorie controlled and contains all the correct nutrients and vitamins which how bodies need to function at their best. A diet rich in complex carbs, protein and healthy fats is one such diet plan. But the most important point is to reduce it by an amount which will not allow for rapid weight loss. This is one thing that you will not want to be doing if you are to have long term successful fat loss.

Keith, I agree 100% with you – fast diets are simply not good. But you know the funny thing? I have been “on a diet” or “trying to lose weight” for so many years, and nothing really worked. It has only recently happened that I have realized that it is not about diet and losing weight fast, but about a lifestyle change. And that has to happen gradually. And you sure shouldn’t stop eating, because what you said is so true about the metabolism. Great post!
