Tuna And Water Diet – The Result

ADVERTISEMENTS

tuna and water diet resultsI have now completed the 3 day tuna and water diet and I must say it went OK, sure I did get bored of eating tuna and drinking water. But what’s good about this diet plan is it’s short, so it’s so easy to stick to because its so short. The first day and half is the hardest, then after that it gets a lot easier.  Yesterday was my third and final day and too be honest I’m glad the diet is over because I’m dying to start eating some proper food again. I won’t go mad though, because my metabolism has probably of dropped slightly. So it will take a few days for my body to readjust to normal eating again.

OK it’s now time for the Results of the 3 day water and tuna diet. I started the diet plan weighing in at 202.8 pounds with a body fat percentage of 23.3%. Having just stepped onto my body fat scales I am now weighing in at an unbelievable 196.6 pounds with a body fat percentage of 23.3%. That means in the space of three days I have been able to lose a whopping 6.2 pounds in body weight.

DAY 3 WEIGH IN ON THE TUNA AND WATER DIET PLAN

Body weight – 196.6 pounds

Body Fat Percentage – 23.3%

Visceral Fat – 8

Skeletal Muscle – 36.3%

Resting Metabolism – 1858 calories

BMI – 25.2

tunafishwaterdietSo for the people who are reading this blog post and are thinking about starting the diet plan, the tuna and water diet plan works, stick to the diet and I’m certain you will lose lots of weight. You will probably lose much more than me even. Because you have got to remember the day before I started the tuna fish diet I had my weekly weigh in and I was weighing in at 204.8 pounds. So in the space of 4 days I’ve managed to lose 8.2 pounds. Which is fantastic, it’s now back to normal eating and losing weight slowly. I am still a firm believer that rapid weight loss diets are not good for you. But  because this diet plan is so short you can quickly return to a more normal and healthy way of eating. Most rapid weight loss diets you will need to do for at least a few weeks, even months. And weeks of dieting like that is just not good for your health and well being.

I’m glad I’ve lost the weight that I have put on over recent weeks, but I’m even more glad that I can start enjoying my food again. Tuna on its own with water is not nice, but it had to be done. If you are looking to lose a few unwanted pounds quickly I would definitely recommend the 3 day tuna fish and water diet plan. Make sure you do the diet for no longer than three days and at the end of it you should see good weight loss results. Remember to eat in moderation once you return to normal eating otherwise all your hard work will of been for nothing.

Good Luck With The Diet Everyone!

It was hard and towards the end of the diet I was struggling to get the tuna down. Glad I did it though, because it has allowed me to lose the pounds I have regained over recent weeks and my motivation and determination to succeed is back.
I will probably do the diet about once a month now, until all my unwanted body fat is gone. Definitely feeling and looking a lot leaner

Hi Keith, hhhhmmm…interesting diet. I’m with you – I’m a firm believer of eating a sensible diet. I never got to the point where I wanted to lose the weight quickly to try the Tuna and Water diet though…haha. I want you to look into Eat Stop Eat. I’ve had great success with it. If you want to hear more about my experience on ESE, look at my blog posts under “Articles->Nutrition.” My sister also started it recently and she’s lost 7 lbs during her first 2 weeks.

More power to you and good luck!

Good luck with the diet Jackie,if you follow it you will definitely lose a few pounds. Don’t continue with the diet for any longer than 3 days. Because it is not a very healthy diet to follow over the long term.

I’m from the UK as well, but my scales only weigh in pounds or kg. So that is why I no longer use stones as my weight measurement. Good luck with the 3 day tuna diet, I haven’t done the diet myself for quite a bit, but it works.

I started this diet today and i agree it’s hard i am having my last of my tuna today. How can i make it interesting, i add lemon juice with drained tuna.

Will i be able to drink coffee/tea and can i have fruit or is it just water and tuna

please reply i need to know and i am from the UK.

Try adding spices to the tuna, it adds some taste and contains no calories. I didn’t drink any tea or coffee, all I drank was filtered water for the three days. Good luck it gets easier on the last day

That’s great news, remember to return to a more normal way of eating after the three days is up.

Jackie HaversonNo Gravatar May 15, 2011 at 10:50 am

it stayed at 15st 11.8lbs so how much is that? Either way i feel lighter slimmer and it’s the most i have drank water in 3 days lol. Thanks for replying to me and i hope that you are well.

If your starting weight was 16 stone, then you have lost 2.2 pounds. Which is an excellent loss for just 3 days.

If you do the diet once per month and follow a calorie controlled diet plan. Which is rich in protein, complex carbs and low in fat for the rest of the month. Then you will start seeing weight loss results.

I have just done the 3 day tuna and water diet plan myself and I am very pleased with the results. I managed to lose 5 pounds in just 3 days.

I plan on using this diet plan every few weeks till I reach my weight loss goal of losing 50 pounds.

I hope that you are well and i will deffo be coming back to this site and i found out if you added Worcestershire sauce to tuna it makes it taste better, thanks again

My wife is on the weight watchers plan and she has managed to lose almost 3 stone this year.

She likes the fact that you can eat delicious meals and still stay under her points. She is down to 29 points a day now though, which she isn’t happy about. Good luck with your diet!

I read your post with interest but I am a little puzzled where the weight loss has actually come from? You definitely lost “weight” but according to your figures your body fat stayed the same at 23.3% This means you must have lost either water or lean muscle mass or a mixture of both. But surely this means you have not actually reduced your body fat levels at all. If you don’t reduce the body fat levels surely you will end up as a “skinny fat person”?
Not trying to diminish your results but the body fat percentage is the most important thing to reduce for best results and looking good.

Yeha I am a little confused, the weight certainly dropped but the body fat % stayed the same

Im a keep weight lifter and looking for a way to cut weight and look leaner, I was looking to try this but I this it gets rid lean mass and not actually fat?

Looks good though and I have shown someone else it who will give it a try

Hi Dave, this diet plan is excellent for people who are looking for quick rapid weight loss. It might be that you need to quickly lose a few pounds so that you can fit into that outfit or dress for that special occasion.

Because you lose lots of weight quickly, it is more than likely not going to be all body fat. My measurements were taken on body fat scales, I would of got a more accurate reading using my body fat calipers. But I find using these extremely time consuming.
Good Luck if you try the 3 day tuna and water diet, it works just make sure to return to normal eating after the 3 days.
