mybodyfat5Stepped onto my body fat scales this morning and I’m absolutely over the moon with the results that were starting back at me. I made my first weight gain of the year I have put on 0.4 pounds. But it’s not really about weight loss for me at this point. It’s about my body fat percentage going lower and lower each week. If I gain weight and my body fat level goes down then I’m a very happy man. And that is exactly what has happened this week my body fat percentage has gone down from 23.2% to 22.5% I know it doesn’t sound like a lot at first glance.

But if you investigate this weeks results more closely you will find out exactly what I have lost.

Last week 199lbs at 23.2 BF which means I was carrying   46.16lbs of fat.

This week 199.4 lbs at 22.5% which means I’m now carrying 44.86lbs of fat.

So after further investigation into it, even though I made a weight gain of 0.4 pounds I was still able to lose 1.3 pounds of fat. Now do you see the importance of not going off weight lost it’s your body fat percentage that matters the most. I put on weight this week and still lost body fat

The results this week have really motivated me to keep going and I now firmly believe that I will be at 10% body fat at 200 pounds before the years out. My ultimate aim is to have six pack abs if they are not showing at 10% body-fat I will just have to lower my body fat percentage till they do.

Its grand national weekend so I off to aintree races with a few friends today. So I’m expecting to over indulge a little on the booze and food. I combating this a little my doing a one hour cardio session at level 5 which will burn off 760 calories. This should really help to elevate my metabolism for the day, meaning I have got a better chance of burning off the excess calories that I’m going to be consuming throughout the day.

Wish me luck I’m going to need it, my previous results when I’ve been to the races haven’t been that good.
