body fat percentage 22.3%Last weeks weekly weigh in only feels like yesterday, the weeks this year are flying by. This week hasn’t been too good for me. It was my friends wedding over the weekend and I really went to town on the food and booze. I didn’t do much better during the week and my protein intake for the week was probably the lowest it’s been all week. This week I just haven’t had the motivation and willpower that I usually have. I’ve had my old head on for most of the week, were I eat what I see and that is exactly what I’ve been doing this week.

This week I have put on another 3.2 pounds making a overall weight gain for the last two week of 5.8 pounds. This is not good news, the only good news is my body fat percentage has gone down yet it again. Which means I have put on a bit of lean muscle mass this week which I’m really surprised about. My aim now is to cut to 190 pounds and get below the 20% body fat mark, so I can finally start phase 2 of my body fat reduction journey. I should of been starting phase 2 at least 4 weeks ago. My fat loss at the moment is going backwards  so it’s time to knuckle down again and get my warrior mentality back. I’ve got less than 8 weeks to go till my Las Vegas holiday. So I’m going to try to get into the best shape I can for this trip.

Looking at myself now in the mirror I do not want to be hitting the hotel pool looking like this. It’s time to get harsh with myself and stop eating junk food and snacks once and for all. I know I keep saying this but my exercise routine is extremely hard and I think this has got a lot to do with my constant hunger pangs and food cravings. I now need to work out in my mind how I am going to program my mind to stop eating foods that are not good for my fat loss progress.

I’m in my mid thirties now and I must say I’m finding this fat loss thing much harder than I use to. This is mainly due to the fact that I’ve been yo yo dieting for the past decade and I have lost a lot of lean muscle mass in the process. This year I plan on rebuilding this lean muscle mass and shifting this excess body fat once and for all. Wish me luck I think I’m going to need it.
