Why You Must Do A Weekly Weigh In

By Keith | Weight Loss Blog | Body Fat Percentage On June 11, 2009 Under Weekly Weigh In

weekly weigh inEvery weight loss blog should have a weekly weigh in, not only is it motivational for the weight loss blogger. But it shows your readers that you are losing weight or at least trying to. Regular readers of My Body Fatwill know that I have my weekly weigh in every Friday morning on my body fat scales. I then record all the data that I receive from the scales and input it into my body fat chart. I also take a picture of the scales to show you that I am actually doing what I say each week. The good thing about recording your body fat percentage as well as your weight, is you can not manipulate the reading like you can easily do with just a bog standard set of bathroom scales.

Over the past few weeks I haven’t been looking forward to my weekly weigh In’s one little bit. Because I know that I am not going to like what I see staring back at me. I’ve only myself to blame for that, but having a weekly weigh in is a fantastic way to keep me motivated. When you run a weight loss blog you want to be showing your readers that losing weight and losing fat can be achieved if you put your mind to it. Our blogs should be an inspiration to others that weight loss can be achieved.

Losing fat especially is not an easy task, so you need everything in your arsenal to  help you along the way. If you run a weight loss blog I highly suggest that you start doing a weekly weigh in every week. The best day to do it, is a Friday morning in my opinion, why you may be asking. Well think about it for one minute Friday is the one day that you are going to have the longest run of sticking to your diet plan. Let’s say your weigh in was on a Monday, your more likely to overeat over the weekend and get poor results at the weigh in. Poor results can really knock your confidence and set you back on your fat loss journey.

By recording a weekly weigh in on your blog. You will be able to look at it for inspiration when you are not moving forward. I know that I do, having just looked at my body fat chart. It is spurring me on to say it’s just not good enough, you need to start doing more if you are to reach your target body fat percentage of 10% before the end of the year.
