Weekly Weigh In March 13th 2009

my body fatI’ve just weighed myself for this week and I’ve managed to lose a further 1.6 pounds but my body fat percentage has gone up from 24.4% to 24.5% which was not the news I was looking for. I’m losing weight but according to my body fat analyzer scales I’m not losing fat. I’m not going to let this get to me though, I’m going to carry on with the program and get a little more strict with my diet once I return from my short vacation next week.

If you look though 24.5% is a long way off my target body fat percentage of 10%. I’m just 3.4 pounds off my target weight now. So I’m going to have to start building muscle pretty soon If I want to reduce my body-fat percentage even further. I’ve come up with the perfect plan , which will allow me to do this now. I’m calling it phase 2 of my body fat loss journey.

The week coming up to this weigh in has been the hardest week I’ve done so far, the amount of cardio I’ve been doing is insane, for someone like me who gets extremely bored doing any cardio exercise. The main reason behind me doing all this cardio, is because I was playing catch up in the 50,000 calories in 50 days challenge. Now do you see the importance of setting yourself these fat loss challenges. Can you guess what would of happened if I hadn’t set myself the challenge. You got it, I would of done no were near the amount of cardio that I’ve been doing lately. And by not doing less cardio I would of not lost any weight this week and my body fat percentage would be even higher than it is now.

I’m just packing my suitcase now, ready for my 4 nights all inclusive break in Spain. So glad I made another weight loss this week but I’m gutted that I didn’t see a reduction in my body fat percentage, I’ve just got to get myself in the right frame of mind to be strict with my diet and exercise when I’m on vacation this week, or I will put a serious dent in my progress. The hotel has got a gym so I will try to get in a few workouts which will help my fat loss journey. The hotel has an Internet connection so I might be still be able to update the blog each day. If I can’t I will catch you all in a few days.
